Ms. Ann is the daughter of one of our very own residents, Rose. When asked to discuss a heartwarming story about her mother, she couldn’t…well; maybe we should say she couldn’t narrow it down to just one! Ann tells us that her mom, who will be 105 years old in June, is loved by everyone.
Ms. Ann remembers the old neighborhood, where people would always stop by for some afternoon chitchat with Mom, over a plate of cheese and a glass of wine. Ann also tells us how she enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with her mother, cooking calzones and raviolis. Those were special times for her.
“My happiest moments are being with her inside my grandmother’s house,” says Ann. There, she learned the value of friendship and family.
To this day, many of Rose’s friends continue to visit her at Autumn Leaves of Orland Park. Everyone who knows Rose is grateful to have such a fantastic person in their lives.
