With Valentine’s Day just 4 weeks away, we’re celebrating stories of LOVE at Autumn Leaves!
Our first story comes from Autumn Leaves of Stockbridge, home of Nat and Jean Williams. Originally from Springfield, VA, they’ve been married for over 50 wonderful years and are just as in love today as they were in those early days! Nat’s service in the military meant that there were times when they had to spend time apart, but, Jean says, “by the grace of God, we’ve never been separated by anger.”
Nat and Jean are very active in daily life at Autumn Leaves; you’ll often find them participating in painting projects, dancing to the music, or singing a favorite tune! They truly radiate love for one another and extend that same love to their Autumn Leaves family. Jean was even nominated to be a Resident Ambassador and with her caring and generous spirit will no doubt shine in this role!
So after all these years, what’s their secret to love and happiness? Nat says he still pulls the chair out for his beloved Jean, but there’s more to their relationship than just good manners. Find out what they have to say below:
